Demonstrate the feasibility of degradation experiements with technology and to qualify the hardware for future applications. Besides the degradation sensor array, Roland-1 will be equipped with a thruster payload, micro satellite AOCS hardware for qualification experiments and a fine grid of temperature sensors for calibration procedures and evaluation of the thermal environment influencing the sensor measurements. |
