CubeSat-size work of art to be launched into space and carries CUBIT identification tag.

Description

CubeSat-size work of art to be launched into space. Carry some hi-tech tags that will simplify its tracking while on orbit. Carries SRI International (SRI) developed CubeSat Identification Tag (CUBIT) radio frequency (RF) transponder to demonstrate a low-SWaP (size, weight, and power) CubeSat RF-based identification system.

Results

Got a signal from the CUBIT on Enoch the day after launch, confirming that the satellite had been deployed. A month later, SRI detected the CUBIT signal from Enoch again, allowing them to link Enoch to a specific object in the CSpOC catalog.
