Scan the FM band radio frequencies (88 – 108 Mhz). |
Description |
Build a satellite prototype which will scan the FM band radio frequencies (88 – 108 Mhz), collect data removing eventual ground noise and store such data after having it compressed. GIMME-RF is a Miniaturized, four-channel radiation tolerant digital RF receiver and analysis instrument featuring a 250-MHz ADC for sampling. It is built around a UNIBAP e2000/GIMME3 and the finished instrument will be able to take measurements of the full 3-dimensional electric field vector signal. This makes it possible to characterize the radio emissions as Stokes parameters which can be used to perform direction finding. |
