Description |
Provides flight heritage for the attitude determination and control system (ADCS) of the modular, expandable, and open source OreSat bus. OreSat0.5 paves the way for OreSat1, a NASA CSLI program 2U CubeSat with a global climate science and STEM outreach mission. OreSat0.5 is the second CubeSat that is demonstrating the “OreSat bus”, a flexible, modular, and inexpensive educational CubeSat platform intended for students and amateurs to be able to build their own CubeSat. The bus is extendable from 1U to 3U, and is fully compliant to the CubeSat Design Specification Rev 13. All details are provided on the OreSat website such that builders can rapidly get a compliant and highly scalable satellite constructed with minimal cost and risk.
