Remote sensing of the Earth in the radio frequency and optical ranges.

The spacecraft is designed to measure the level of electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range 0.1-18 GHz to create territorial maps of the distribution of these levels as part of long-term analysis and study of statistical measurement results. Remote sensing of the Earth in the optical range, obtaining photographs of the earth's surface with a resolution of ~5 m/pixel.

Thanks to the ability to link the received data to geographic coordinates, the information that the payload module will provide can be used to construct maps of the distribution of the level of electromagnetic radiation from the Earth's surface.

Missions:

• measurement of the level of electromagnetic radiation in various frequency ranges;
• remote sensing of the Earth in the optical range.

Payloads:

• broadband radio receiver with an analysis bandwidth of up to 100 MHz in the range of 100 MHz – 18 GHz;
• an overview camera for assessing the correct operation of small spacecraft subsystems with a resolution of 640x480, 320x240 or 160*120 pixels;
• optical-electronic system with a resolution of 51 megapixels.

Application value:

• creation of a database on the territories of the technosphere, seas and oceans, forests, energy-intensive objects;
• forecasting possible interruptions in the operation of radio communication and television systems;
• correcting errors and increasing the accuracy of ground geopositioning systems;
• attracting schoolchildren and students to the study of space technologies;
• As part of the “Planet Duty” program, which combines space-themed competitions with different specializations, with the support of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the “Scientific Orienteering: Outer Space” project is being conducted.
