Measuring the noise pollution of radio air in space and communication between radio amateurs using an FM repeater operating in the VHF/UHF ranges, observing cosmic flares, measuring radiation using a photomatrix, testing inter-satellite communications

Payloads:

• a receiver for measuring the noise level of the air in outer space;
• low-resolution camera with transmission of images of the Earth via SSTV protocol;
• amateur radio FM transponder 435/145 MHz; 
• MADIZ2 (matrix radiation detector version 2);
• IoT module.

The following are installed on the small spacecraft of the Saransk Polytechnic College of the Republic of Mordovia:

• equipment for measuring the noise level of radio waves in outer space;
• low-resolution camera with SSTV transmission of images of the Earth;
• amateur radio FM transponder;
• MADIZ2 (matrix radiation detector version 2)
• IoT module

Planned tasks of the Ruzaevka-390 spacecraft:

• conducting a scientific experiment in space and compiling a map of the noise pollution in near-Earth space;
• to stimulate interest in amateur radio activities, training and practical experiments using small spacecraft and to create an accessible platform for amateur radio operators that enables two-way voice communication via satellite;
• testing radio components, transmitters and antennas in space conditions to improve the quality of radio communications;
• transmission of images of the Earth from the camera of the Ruzaevka-390 spacecraft via the SSTV protocol to receiving stations around the world;
• ensuring the conduct of communication sessions within the framework of the work of educational scientific and technical sections via a transponder, training students and young engineers in radio engineering and satellite technologies;
• transmitting congratulatory messages on behalf of schoolchildren and students.

An FM transponder installed on a satellite will provide amateur radio operators around the world with the ability to establish two-way voice communications via satellite using amateur radio frequencies. This will allow communication over long distances and the exchange of information in real time using minimal equipment.
