Study of the degradation of the characteristics of materials and parameters of electronic devices in outer space.

Description

16 different satellite missions within the framework of the Space-PI project with the participation of students and schoolchildren.

The team of BSTU "Voenmekh" named after D.F. Ustinova developed the Cyclops spacecraft based on the OrbiCraft-Pro SXC3 platform of the SPUTNIX company. Within the framework of the SPACE-PI project with the support of the Innovation Promotion Fund on the CubeSat satellite platform of the SPUTNIX company. 

The satellite will conduct a series of experiments: 

Results

All this time, the device observed the earth's surface, studied the properties and efficiency of the energy storage device, and also studied the degradation of the characteristics of materials and the parameters of electronic devices in outer space conditions.

“CYCLOPS (RS29S)” was launched to an altitude of 500 km, however, due to the very high level of solar activity at the current stage of the solar cycle, the device descended much faster, braking against the heated and “swollen” earth’s atmosphere.
