Radio signal observation instrument – basically a small orbital radiotelescope. |
Description |
Radio signal observation instrument – basically a small orbital radiotelescope. Its intended high Polar orbit will provide it with a field of observation that is perpendicular to Earth’s rotation. This is a 4U CubeSat configuration where the last “cube” contains the radiotelescope itself – an extending skeleton, which will expand to a length of more than a metre after the satellite achieves orbital stability. PAISIUS will then proceed to listen at the Hydrogen line frequency (1420,2 MHz). |
