Promote and share indigenous culture across Canada through northern images. |
Description |
Transmitting Northern Canadian stories and games to amateur radio operators across the globe. There will also be a TTL imager onboard with the goal of taking low resolution images of northern artistry shown on a display with the Earth as its backdrop. The outreach missions concentrate on expanding STEM outreach opportunities to include arts and languages. It will also include a digital fluxgate magnetometer to gather magnetic field data of the ionosphere and a MIDI audio transmission setting for use in other outreach activities. Promote and share indigenous culture across Canada through northern images, a project that will take northern art to space, where pictures of various pieces will be taken with Earth in the background. Promote and share Indigenous culture across Canada through northern voices; engage amateur radio across the country with stories and messages in Indigenous languages. Promote and share Indigenous culture across Canada through games; create a globally interactive game for amateur radio operators. Special recordings played only in certain geographic zones will require global cooperation in order to decode a whole message. Messages and content will be developed on the subjects of northern Indigenous history and language. Constellation consisting of 3 satellites: AlbertaSAT_Ex-Alta 2, YukonSat, and AuroraSat. Together, they form a common mission referred to as the Northern SPIRIT Consortium. |
