In-orbit demonstration of inter & intra satellite links between pico & femto satellite platforms.

Description

In-orbit demonstration of inter & intra satellite links between pico & femto satellite platforms.

First PocketQube mission developed in the Interdisciplinary Center of Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg. POQUITO is a tiny 5×5×5 cm satellite that will host an even smaller 5×5×0.2cm satellite as its primary payload.

  1. Fly a PocketQube in low Earth orbit,
  2. Perform the inter-satellite communication between a ChipSat and a PocketQube via LED in visible light, and
  3. Transmit a CW beacon to Earth to promote the Luxembourgish space activities for radio amateurs.

"PocketQube for In Orbit Technology Operations" (POQUITO) is the first PocketQube mission by the Interdisciplinary Center of Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg. This tiny 5cm3 1P satellite hosts an even smaller 5×5×0.2 cm satellite the size of a computer chip. POQUITO aims to test inter-satellite communications between a PocketQube and a ‘Chipsat’ via LED in visible light and transmit a CW beacon to Earth to promote Luxembourgish space activities for radio amateurs.
