Notes	SPiN and ENPULSION signed a contract to deliver ENPULSION’s Engineering Models to support SPiN’s effort to design and develop a Modular Avionics Test Bench on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA). The Modular Avionics Test Bench (MATB) is an ESA funded project that maps and tests interfaces and protocols compatibility of European CubeSat avionics-components. With 16 components from 13 different suppliers using 8 different interfaces distributed on 3 FlatSats, the MATB proves that it is possible to integrate CubeSats regardless of the compatibility of its components. It aims to reach high-level modularity for CubeSat integration across Europe, thanks to the ‘Multipurpose Adapter Generic Interface Connector’ (MA61C). This device holds multiple interfaces and a driver database, which allows physical connection and digital communication with all the subsystems. The MA61C is used as OBC for this project, and is functionally tested with each subsystem, then with the whole FlatSat assembled. Eventually space missions can be reproduced on the functional side. The European NewSpace market will have the possibility to use the MATB for designing and quickly testing their architecture, new components, or payloads.
