Low mass, space-safe plastic CubeSat structures.

Description

3rd Rock Aerospace was founded in 2013 by British aerospace engineer, Phillip Keane. He first developed the idea of the 3D printed CubeSat for his MSc thesis at International Space University (Strasbourg) in 2012. The goal of the project was clear: to select the best materials and processes for the design of a 3D printed CubeSat, which could withstand the super unfriendly environment of space. The materials were selected and simulations were performed to ensure that the structure could survive the harsh accelerations of a rocket launch.
